Application

Piping

Elevated pipe runs and racks measured without platform build-up.

Conditions

What we are dealing with

Rack geometry makes scaffolding slow and partial.

Asset geometry
Straight runs and elbows, 25 mm diameter and above, on racks up to 18 m.
Typical material
Carbon steel
Typical coating
Painted, insulated sections excluded
Today

Conventional approach

Scaffolding per section, or ultrasonic spot checks from a lift where one fits.

With ALTCER

How we measure it

Approach per pipe segment with the mast angled to the surface normal.

You receive: Per-segment thickness readings with position references.

Demo narrative for layout review. Every condition and limitation on this staging site is invented.

Where this does not apply

Insulated pipework is out of scope. Minimum diameter 25 mm.

Colibri360

Drone-mounted EMAT thickness gauge with the sensor on a rotary mast, for measuring metal structures without scaffolding or rope access.

  • 2 – 60 mm Measurable thickness — S355, mill scale, lift-off up to 2 mm, 20 °C
  • 0.08 mm Measurement accuracy — S355 reference block, lift-off 1 mm, 20 °C
  • 3 mm Validated lift-off — Coated carbon steel, coating up to 3 mm
