Shell and roof thickness measurement on above-ground storage tanks without scaffolding.
What we are dealing with
Shell courses above 6 m need scaffolding or rope access, and roof access is often refused on corroded structures.

- Vertical cylindrical shells, 6 to 22 m, with fixed or floating roofs.

- Carbon steel, S235 to S355
- Typical coating
- Epoxy or alkyd, typically 150 to 400 µm
Conventional approach
Scaffolding or rope access with a hand-held piezoelectric gauge. Surface preparation is needed at every point.
How we measure it
Flight path along each shell course, EMAT readings through coating with the sensor held by the rotary mast. Coordinates are recorded with every reading.
You receive: Point dataset with coordinates, thickness values and per-point acceptance, as CSV and a PDF summary.

Where this does not apply
Not validated above 3 mm coating thickness. Internal surfaces are out of scope. Wind above 12 m/s stops the inspection.
